No one will ever know what really happened to her…
It is obvious that she was once horribly, disturbingly abused … She was probably abused all her life, the veterinarians said.
Weighing only 20 pounds when rescued, the two-year-old pitty combine lacks a nasal cavity, lacks an upper jaw stage due to previous trauma, and has trouble walking due to damage to her back, ribs and hind legs.
In what had to be fate, Stephanie Paquin, Founder, and Director of Passion four Pits and her husband, Mike Fleury had been at the Orange County refuge selecting up every other dog.
The shelter supervisor asked them if they wanted to take a “very unique dog”.
Although warned of her appearance and abuse, Paquin was nonetheless overwhelmed when she first noticed her. She used to be overwhelmed by Khalessi’s spirit – which was once uninterrupted despite the terrible horrors she had experienced. She is happy, accommodating, and has a tail that just doesn’t stop waving. He had to be rescued and so they took him to help.
Khalessi is presently with Stephanie (the founder of Passion4Pits Rescue) and will continue to be with her or every other surrogate close to the rescue at some point of his treatment.
She will no longer be accessible for adoption. Till all of her surgical procedures are completed.
She has an AMAZING spirit.
She is full of courage.
What is most important about her is her personality. Anyone who meets her cannot accept the truth of how joyful she is.
Watch how she absorbs love on a shopping trip.
We all hope for justice, however we are aware that this is a small chance.
