The two puppies were confused and very scared…
No dog should suffer from unscrupulous individuals, but among them there is a truth that tells us that certain people are insensitive and have a tremendous ability to harm the most helpless.
Takis Shelter, a devoted animal lover, asked the small town for help. This still unidentified, to help a puppy in bad circumstances, a few months old, wandering the streets utterly disoriented and begging for a gesture with love.
Fortunately, his ordeal ended with the intervention of rescuers who had no idea that their rescue mission would be twofold. The dog was totally soaked and terrified. Takis and his assistant wanted to find the source of the other puppy’s scream after hearing it. They were surprised to find a puppy inside a large blue barrel; he was terrified and drenched in the rain the day before.
Whoever abandoned it clearly intended for it to sink in the barrel. Fortunately, it had holes that prevented the water from being stagnant, giving the helpless puppy a chance to live.
He was fragile and on the verge of hypothermia. However, he was very tired and shocked, and he went through too much in such a short time. Takis ordered his assistant to wear gloves in case the dog attacked; understandably, he retaliated and bit off his savior’s gloves.
He was able to extract it with great care and transfer it to the cage where the first rescued puppy was. They only had one cage and had to share it; thankfully, neither puppy attacked the other. The two puppies were befuddled and terrified.Both dogs were taken to a shelter. The first rescued puppy surrendered more quickly to his rescuers’ care; the second, on the other hand, refused to leave the corner.
His caregivers began to speak to him with words of encouragement and love, which helped to alleviate his traumatized past. Alpha and Zeta were the names given to the puppies.
Takis and his team refused to give up. They were convinced that they could help the puppy and gain his trust. It took a long time, but the effort paid off in the end.
The abandoned puppy in the barrel grew to trust people and began to respond to every gesture with love. Surprisingly, he was joined by his rescue companion with whom he shared a blanket and spent the rest of the day snuggling.
This cute furry couple now not only enjoys caring for their rescuers, but they still have each other. Takis and his entire team deserve our gratitude for this amazing mission.
