Aaron Schneider, an Iraq war veteran, knew he had to pull over and assist a wounded dog on the side of the road.

A life was saved as a result of his decision, which others would not have made. Furthermore, one fortunate dog will now be given a second chance.

Aaron was traveling one day when he came across a puppy that had clearly been hit by another vehicle. The veteran pulled over, dashed across three lanes of traffic, and rushed to the animal’s rescue without hesitation. It’s a good thing he did because the dog had been hit by a car traveling at 110 km/h and had been left for dead.

After bringing the dog to the side of the road, he no longer faced the risk of further injury from the traffic, and Aaron called 911. There, he waited an astonishing three hours in the rain. When he realized that he couldn’t wait any longer, Aaron made a litter for the puppy and then loaded him into the back of his friend’s truck.

“My combat lifeguard training has started, and I am grateful that I can use it to help him,” Aaron explained. “After serving in Iraq, you will see a lot of losses, which is one of the reasons why I am determined to see his success.” A subsequent scan showed that this puppy named Buster had a broken rib and a torn trachea. Internal bleeding. Fortunately, he will fully recover, thanks in large part to Aaron’s bravery.

Not only that, but Aaron went on to adopt Buster once his recovery was complete, meaning the dog will now enjoy the life of love and care he truly deserves.

Aaron is an inspiration and I’m sure Buster will have the perfect life in your care.
