It’s been almost 60 years since the C2 Corvette Stingray first appeared and it still looks great to this day

If you asked someone to name the ultimate American sports car, the C2 generation Chevrolet Corvette Stingray might appear in the minds of quite a few people.

It’s been nearly 60 years since the C2 Corvette Stingray first came on the scene and it still looks great to this day. This particular example is looking for a new home in Europe thanks to the exhibition of the Dutch Aldering Gallery.

What immediately made the Vette stand out was the blue exterior, which was re-sprayed at some point during the car’s life. Complete original wheel paint is complemented by period-appropriate white-wall tires.

The list indicates that the previous owner always kept the car and made a number of improvements to it. For example, the brakes were upgraded from a single system to a separate system at the front and rear. The drum brakes were also replaced with disc brakes, a Borgson power steering was installed, there is an electronic ignition, Edelbrock 5089 cylinder heads with new valves, an Edelbrock rocker cap, an Edelbrock carburetor and filter, the automatic transmission was renewed .

Inside, there is well-maintained black leather that adorns the seats, door panels and dashboard. The previous owner also equipped it with updated Alpine speakers and an audio system with Bluetooth technology.

Power comes from a small, 327-cubic-inch (5.4-liter) V8 that sends power to the rear wheels. The car has driven 84,041 miles (about 135,000 km) since leaving the factory in 1964.
