For as long as you can remember, you’ve certainly held the belief that dogs and cats are terrible enemies, total opposites incapable of coexisting together. People frequently make fun of the relationship between cats and dogs when they share a home, such as this cartoonist who made an utterly humorous comic about his cat’s reaction to his dogs barking.

Not only that, but we regularly see images on social media of the chaos that may easily erupt when a large number of fur-babies live together, and we are often amused by the sight displayed. However, it is not an all or nothing scenario, and there are certainly exceptions to the precedent we feel is unbreakable.

A lady in Turkey recently captured on tape the miraculous rescue of a drowning kitten… the protagonist? A canine!

No one knows how the cat got into the deep water, but its cries for help were both difficult to ignore and much too easy to reject.
If it hadn’t been for the dog’s intervention, the cat would have drowned.

The dog walked back and forth, evidently troubled by the issue of a fellow creature in severe need of aid but unsure how to proceed, as the cat tried to stay alive. He eventually tries to approach the cat, as if to suggest, “climb up.” The puzzled and scared cat, on the other hand, clawed at the hapless dog incessantly.

You’d think the dog would tuck its tail and escape, but not our hero. In an attempt to save the cat, he plunged into the water!

The dog jumps into the water, swims beneath the cat, and drives it higher! Regardless of how terrified the soaking cat was, she appeared to see that this was her last chance for survival, and thanks to the dog, she made it safely onto shore.

The dog was also able to get out of the water after a little battle.

In the end, both animals escape to freedom, alive, albeit soaking wet.
