There are defects in everyone. We must learn to live with our imperfections, whether physical or emotional. If you are strong, courageous, and have a good heart, happiness will smile on you. Faith, the adorable stray puppy featured in today’s post, is a prime example. The young baby was born with a lifelong squint, yet she was blessed with a second chance at happiness.
Faith was discovered in a cardboard box on a veranda in Antigua. The veterinarian who initially spotted the puppy identified her as being one-of-a-kind. Her brow was wrinkled and her squint was permanent. On the other hand, these warmed the man’s heart.
The veterinarian called the local rescue Dogs and Cats of Antigua to save the stray dog.
She was chosen and given the name Faith.
They also supported her in locating a new house and providing her with required medical treatment.
“Normally, a dog with special needs, such as Faith, would be killed on the islands.” Kate Venezia, Faith’s foster mother, observed,
“There are few adopters and no money for care.”
Faith shocked her foster mother when she arrived at Venezia’s house. The puppy was an expert at navigating the house. Puppy didn’t seem bothered by her disability and didn’t appear to be unhappy or self-conscious about it. She quickly adapted to her new surroundings and figured out how to go around the house.
“Baby was brave, yet she found her way about by smelling and crashing into things.” Venezia continued on her way.
The adorable puppy learned how to navigate her home by using her ears and nose. She could always find her way to her favorite location, which was just on top of her foster mother’s foot.
When Faith was ready to find a permanent home, her rescue posted a beautiful photo of her on Facebook. Many people noticed the dog and filled out an adoption application.
I am hoping that Faith will find a home with a family that will genuinely love and care for her. Every dog is a good dog, and they all deserve to live in a happy home.
