A distressing video of a dog in distress was recently posted by a runner from Saudi Arabia. ilovemydogsomuch says that he was running on a sidewalk when he heard the heart-wrenching moans of a puppy in anguish.

The dog is cowering behind a palm tree in this video, pleading with passers-by for assistance. As he gets closer to the puppy, he notices that he is nothing but skin and bones, and that he looks to have suffered a recent trauma.

The puppy ultimately calms down after a little of polite caressing from the jogger, trusting that the man was there to assist. The man, too, was struck by the puppy’s suffering and chose to adopt him.

The puppy, who has since been given the name Scopy, was given a full dish of food. The man was still concerned about Scopy’s health as he hungrily devoured himself from the bowl. He took Scopy to the vet, who told him that he was well, but that Scopy was mentally wounded.

Scopy’s spirits are constantly rising now that he is back in the house, as he receives love and attention. Scopy adores his new father, and we’re thrilled that they’ll be celebrating many new milestones together in the future! What a wonderful rescue!
