The struggle for life isn’t the only reason for unusual connections between two species.
Amazing creatures occasionally develop such ties to demonstrate that love, friendship, and affection know no bounds.
People will never cease wondering when they come across remarkable connections between animals like Herman and Lundy.
Herman, a pigeon who can’t fly, and Lundy, a puppy chihuahua who can’t walk, have a great bond that has captured the hearts of everyone.
They met at the Mia Foundation, a rehabilitation facility for animals with disabilities.
Herman is a resident at The Mia Foundation after being rescued by a wildlife rescuer.
He was discovered in a parking lot. The poor creature was unable to fly or move. He fought for his life and managed to stay alive, but he was no longer able to fly.
When Lundy was only four weeks old, he showed up at the same institution. He was turned down by a breeder in South Carolina because he had a defect:
He couldn’t walk since he was paralyzed. He was transferred to the same shelter and found affection and comfort there quickly.
No one at the shelter could have predicted that Herman and Lundy would become such good friends when they initially met.
Herman was taken from his playpen and placed on the chihuahua’s bed by the staff.
Surprisingly, they instantly became inseparable buddies and rapidly became fast friends. It was love at first sight for both of them.
The staff snapped some photos and posted them on social media.
Because so many people admired them, this amazing combination became well-known.
The fans went so far as to give almost $6,000 to the rehabilitation clinic.
