When Jillian went out collecting some garbage and noticed a dog staring at her in the dark, she felt she had to do something to assist it. Jillian claimed that the dog fled as soon as she noticed her approaching.

She then softly spoke to the dog, getting it to halt and pay attention. Jillian said, “The dog left and returned the other day.” So the dog kept a good gap between herself and Jillian when she spotted her.

When she was summoned, she likewise fled, although this time she wasn’t very far away. When Jillian saw that the dog was in need, she returned home, got some dog food, and a bowl of water.

She put them in a backyard corner and moved away a ways to watch what the dog would do. The dog ate the meal but continued to avoid Jillian and her.

The following day, Jillian put the food in the bowl when she spotted the dog, but when the dog ate from it, she lingered close to the dish and sniffed her rather than scurrying away. After seeing that, Jillian decided to adopt the puppy and give her the name Luna since she felt that the animal needed a chance to experience love. What a joyful ending!
