People occasionally bring their animals in to be put to sleep.

Most of the time, pet owners who genuinely love their animals do this for them.

For a dog by the name of Pote, though, that wasn’t the case. It appears that his owner brought him in for euthanasia but did so because they said he wouldn’t eat.

Thankfully, they took the puppy to Sidewalk Specials, a compassionate animal shelter.

They examined him thoroughly to see whether he had an illness or parasite rather than just respecting that person’s desires. They also placed a dish of food in front of him, and he devoured every morsel.

When he was originally brought to the shelter, Pote was in poor condition. He is doing fairly well after receiving some care, and was soon prepared to be adopted by a devoted family.

The video below demonstrates how much care Pote required.

But after receiving that care, he was given a loving home where he would experience a lot of affection and live out the rest of his days content.
