Dogs don’t like delivery personnel very much. They frequently yell at the mailman, believing him to be an intruder, or chase after a FedEx vehicle.
However, this is not always the case; occasionally, they get along nicely. Many of these delivery people genuinely care about the dogs and go to great lengths to ensure their safety. Here is a story about a delivery boy who went above and above by saving a puppy from drowning in frigid water. The UPS driver’s name is Ryan Arena, and he was from Bozeman, Montana.
He made a delivery last year that he found to be pretty memorable. He heard a dog’s screams as he was about to deliver a box. The dog was reportedly howling and yelping loudly when Ryan first noticed him stranded in the water with ice all around him. He sensed the dog would not be able to escape on her own, so he immediately went to help the animal.
When he arrived, he observed an elderly guy making vain attempts to assist the dog with a rowboat. The boat fell into the frigid water while he was first planning to use it, so he changed his mind and opted to swim for the dog. He was able to save the dog, and the time was ideal because the physician subsequently warned that a dog may have cardiac arrest.
He then returned the puppy to the home of the rowing guy. Ryan received a lot of appreciation for his efforts, and many people hailed him as a hero for it. More people like him are needed in the world, and Ryan’s bravery is appreciated.
