Ashley Nieves visited the Lehigh County Humane Society’s website after losing Kovu, her dog, in 2019. She was looking for a new dog for her two children. A dog who looks like her missing dog appeared on the website, completely shocking her.
As she focused on the photo of the dog, she became certain that it was hers. Her joy caused her to jump! A few weeks after Kovu went missing from Nieves’ yard in May 2019, Humane Society picked him up. A flea infestation and missing hair made him in a very bad condition.
An adoptive family returned Kovu several months after he was adopted. Nieves went straight to the shelter after losing her dog. As soon as he saw her, he started jumping and wagging his tail. He ran to her and kissed and hugged her! It was such a touching reunion! Here is a video you can watch.
