If you have a dog as a pet, then you know what it looks like when it sleeps. Some dogs, while sleeping, move their paws quickly and seem to be chasing an imaginary cat. But what do dogs actually dream about? Do they dream about their favorite food or favorite toy?
Harvard scientists have finally found the answer to this interesting question. According to a recent study, dogs often dream of the people they are most attached to, usually their owners. This is Dr. Deirdre Barrett’s explanation:
“People dream during the day what concerns them the most, but in a very vague and illogical way. There is no reason to believe that animals are any different. Considering that dogs can be very attached to people, the dog probably dreams of faces and smells that make him happy. On the other hand, a dog can dream of doing something that irritates you,” explains Barrett.
Obviously, people did not remain indifferent when they learned about this discovery. Dog owners started posting photos of their pets sleeping accompanied by heartfelt comments. Many could not hold back their tears! We can understand them.
Knowing that your dog is most devoted to you, even while you sleep, can melt the coldest heart.
