He approached the puppy, whom he had never seen before, completely taken aback.
The small dog, relieved that help had arrived, perked up her ears and began to wag her tail.
Beside her was a tiny bag containing everything that appeared to be hers, with a scribbled letter on top of it.
The devastating message said: “Free dog, needs a good home.”

The man recognized she needed assistance even though he had no clue who had left her there or how long she had been bound to his fence.
In the hopes that someone could assist, he shared the sad letter and the picture of the small puppy on social media.
Thankfully, Suzette Hall, the creator of Logan’s Legacy dog rescue in Irvine, California, received the message.
She took swift action, and two of her volunteers sped up their cars to retrieve this adorable puppy.
The bag included the dog’s favorite food and toys, and she was still wearing her harness. The dog was overjoyed to be saved and expressed gratitude to Hall’s volunteers when they eventually arrived.
Hall remarked, “She just melted in their arms, she was so excited.”
According to Hall, they brought the dog to Camino Pet Hospital for a check-up. They discovered that she was a mixed Corgi and Sheltie, between four and six months old. They were surprised to see that she was likewise quite well. She was immaculate, according to Hall. “There wasn’t a single flea on her.”
This demonstrated unequivocally that the dog’s prior owners loved her, even though they were forced to give her up for unknown reasons.
We will probably never know why they left her tied to an unknown man’s fence instead of taking her to safety.
Halo was not even a year old, and she had already lived through a traumatic experience. Suzette promised to find her a loving home that she absolutely deserves.
“She’s just a love. I can’t wait for her to finally be home,” Hall said.
