1960 Chevrolet Impala Nomad Wagon: Revealing the Timeless Elegance


This 1960 Chevrolet Nomad station wagon is reported to have been originally purchased in Phoenix, Arizona. It carries a history of ownership by a former NFL head coach and a NASCAR executive. The vehicle’s exterior has undergone refinishing in Ermine White, while the interior boasts a turquoise finish.

Powering the car is a 383ci V8 engine, which is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission equipped with overdrive. Notable enhancements comprise an airbag suspension system and a DynoMax dual exhaust setup. The selling dealer presents this Nomad along with partial service records, a set of Billet Specialties wheels and tires, and an unblemished California title.

The interior is trimmed in turquoise with factory houndstooth fabric on the plastic-covered seats and door panels. A period FrigiKing air conditioning system is mounted under the dash and utilizes modern underhood components and refrigerant.

The factory 283ci V8 has been replaced with a 383ci stroker crate engine which features a Holley carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, and a billet serpentine belt drive system.
