Precision Meets Muscle: The Classic 1972 Chevy Nova and Its Exciting 4-Speed Experience

This 1972 Chevrolet Nova boasts a vibrant yellow exterior adorned with striking black stripes, while the interior features comfortable gray cloth upholstery. Powering this classic is a replacement 355ci V8 engine mated to a Muncie four-speed manual transmission, with a 4.11:1 Positraction rear differential ensuring excellent performance.

Equipped with a set of 14″ five-spoke wheels, this Nova also features front disc brakes, chrome bumpers, a cowl-induction hood, bucket seats, an aftermarket steering wheel, a Hurst shifter, and a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo system.

The car was reportedly repainted in Yellow with black stripes as part of a refurbishment said to have been completed in 2015. Exterior features include a cowl induction hood, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, mud flaps, “Nova” badging, and a dual-exit exhaust.

The 14″ five-spoke polished wheels wear tires measuring 195/60 up front and 245/60 out back. Stopping power is provided by front disc brakes with rear drums, and traction bars are installed on the rear axle.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in gray cloth joined by a black dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Woodgrain trim lines the door panels, and additional equipment includes a floor-mounted Hurst shifter, glovebox, and a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo.

The aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, column-mounted Sunpro 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 355ci V8 breathes through a Holley 750cfm four-barrel carburetor and is equipped with World Product cylinder heads, tubular headers, and a polished intake, alternator, valve covers, and pulleys. The seller notes that the oil was changed in October 2021.
