After taking care of business with the Mach 1, Collins and the crew head to a nearby car show to take in the sights – a glance at some of the display vehicles shows favorites like a Ford Fox Body Mustang, a first-generation Chevy Camaro, and a pristine 1980’s-era Toyota Hilux.

But, two first-generation Mustangs really get his attention.

One is a 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 KR convertible from a Collins rescue we covered in February – somewhere along the way, the car underwent some restoration and changed hands.

His “favorite car of the day” is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with a distinctive exterior: we learn its Lilac Frost Metallic paint (an exclusive tint for Thunderbirds) somehow got applied as a factory color on this unique Ford
