1968 Buick LeSabre Convertible

Ryan puts the carburetor back into the car and also adds some new hoses in need of replacement. The car still needs new spark plugs and wires but for now but the car should run without them. On the first attempt, the car does not turn over but Ryan adjusts the idle and pushes the car outside of the building for another attempt.

With these steps complete, the Buick fires up properly and Ryan is able to drive the car for the first time in years.

Once outside the building, Ryan finds that the open door chime, headlights, taillights, and side marker lights all function properly and the car will run, drive and stop properly. Overall, the purpose of the video is a success and the car is once again ready to drive.

There is more work needed on the car in the future but for now, it’s a massive step forward. Given that large convertibles are largely absent from modern brands and with Buick no longer offering anything that isn’t a crossover, this LeSabre is a classic car survivor that represents a very different time in automotive history that still has its place in modern times
