1960 Pontiac Catalina and 1968 Buick LeSabre: Classic Duo

Power washing a 1960 Pontiac Catalina

Ryan’s rescue projects usually involve getting forlorn vehicles to run again, but this video focuses on cleaning up the Pontiac and Buick. It’s a chance to remove decades of dust and see the potential of these cars.

A power wash reveals the light green metallic exterior of the Buick. The body is far from pristine, but rust is minimal, making this car one step closer to seeing the road again. And while the engine couldn’t be hand turned, a twist of the ignition shows a willingness for the V8 to return to life.

Ryan gives the Pontiac equal treatment, as the pressured streams of water uncover brown paint that wants to shine again. It’s a color that contrasts nicely with the original white-colored roof. Except for a mangled rear passenger side quarter panel, this Catalina’s exterior is in reasonable condition, given the barn years
