Spotted A Poor Dog Tied Up With Fishing Line.

Despite being found at a construction site in Bali where many dogs lived, Lucy kept going missing. The rescuer found Lucy and was in a state of shock when she found her. Lucy’s rescuer acted quickly to take her to the vet for medical care after discovering her with fishing wire tied tightly around her snout. Lucy had been caught for dog meat trade and was about to be sold and killed for food. The dogs of Bali need your help if you would like to make a donation to help them. If you would like to donate, please click here.

In Lucy’s case, a fishing line had cut deeply into her snout and was found around her snout

Poor pup is suspected to have been intended for the horrible and cruel meat farms

As soon as Lucy was taken to the vet, the fishing line was removed, and she became safe, but there was still a 50/50 chance that she would survive because she suffered from a serious illness known as parvovirus.

The vets gave Lucy a 50/50 chance of surviving the deadly parvovirus after finding her in a safe place, but she wasn’t yet out of the woods. Lucy’s condition was touch and go for a few days, but after two weeks, she had begun to show signs of recovery and was placed in foster care. Her behavior changed after just one day and she tested positive for distemper—as if she hadn’t already dealt with enough. We worried about Lucy even though she had a strong immune system. When we found her, her skin and bones were all that remained after she was ravaged by the parvovirus.

As Lucy healed from her sicknesses and battled other illnesses, she became distrustful of humans

Then, slowly, Lucy recovered from her physical injury and was ready to begin her emotional healing journey, despite her lack of appetite. We syringe fed her bone broth every few hours and poured all our love and care into her. She has always been quiet and has never made eye contact with anyone since she was rescued. She huddled in a corner of her crate for hours and only emerged to go to the bathroom. She had no trust in humans because of the trauma she endured before we found her.

Veterinary professionals, foster parents, and many other people helped Lucy gradually recover from her trauma

As Lucy has lived with Prue, the founder of Mission Paws’ible, for the past two months, she has made amazing progress. Although she’s still cautious, she’s becoming more playful and happy every day. In addition to enjoying zoomies with her paw-friends, Lucy also sleeps snuggled up with her buddies on the couch, something she would never do when she first arrived. She enjoys being in the sun and enjoying her time with her buddies.

And started to trust humans and other animals again

With a little bit of patience and love, Lucy proves that anything is possible. Lucy has a bright and happy future ahead of her and is looking for a new home. The Healing Centre is currently being built by Mission Paws’ible. It will provide a quiet place to decompress for dogs such as Lucy and give them the chance to heal properly. Besides having natural raw diets, hairless hounds will also receive daily healing oil massages, music therapy, one-on-one interaction with people, and lots of sunshine.

Lucy is the perfect example of how love and patience goes a long way and can save a life
