Some people were walking in the park of Chillicothe, Ohio, when suddenly they spotted a locked wire cage with a beautiful white dog inside. But as if that weren’t enough, what they discovered after approaching the pup was even more shocking. The poor dog was covered in hand-scrawled messages that were written all over her white fur with black permanent marker. She had a sad story behind!
According to Sarah Cantrell, office manager and adoption coordinator at the Ross County Humane Society, the poor pup was dumped in Yoctangee Park ahead of the Feast of the Flowering Moon Festival, which takes place during Memorial Day weekend.
“We were all kind of shocked,” Cantrell told the media. “It just seems like a childish thing to do.” He continued.
After some investigation, the dog’s old owner has been charged with cruelty to animals, abandonment and failure to license.
After brought to County Humane Society, they bathed Marvella-her new name, and tried to take off all of the awful writings on her fur.
The shelter was willing to take the responsibiloty to take care of the poor puppy and find her a new loving home.
Although the pup was really shy at first, she quickly brightened up and started to communicate with other dogs and the shelter stuff.
Since the story completely thrilled the internet, Marvella received tons of applications from her potential future families.
After some days the stuff posted on their Facebook page that Marevalla had finally found her forever home.
We hope that sweet Marvella will let the cruelty which happened to her in the past and start living a beautiful life with her new owner!
