Couple finds hairless elderly dog abandoned on a road

Danielle Finley was driving down the road with her boyfriend when they suddenly noticed a little animal running towards them fast. In the begging they thought it was a racoon or something like that, they could never imagine that it was a pup.

He was a poor hairless puppy who was desperate for help.

“We thought he was getting to escape the road during a minute, so we kept driving. But he didn’t run away, so we stopped and he came running and looked into the car,” said Danielle.

It was then that Finley and her boyfriend took an honest check out the animal, which clothed to be an old, hairless dog.

“Actually, we had two of our other dogs, our two Boston terriers, with us, so we got out of the car and checked. He was nice, so we got some petfood and a few water,” added the girl .

The couple decided to name the pooch Phil.

But Danielle knew they had to try much more for him. Whoever he belonged to, he certainly lost his way. And if it didn’t belong to anyone, he wouldn’t have survived alone out there. They had to take him home without hesitation.

They first thought that Phil had scabies, an infection caused by ticks that penetrated the skin and caused hair loss. But the vet made another diagnosis that surprised them.

Danielle’s heart broke in two when she discovered that the straightforward fact of abandonment and helplessness left him hairless and with an unbearable itch and smell.

“The bottom a part of his teeth are crushed, so his theory is that it had been probably because he was kept during a box all the time and eventually he was abandoned because his health problems got out of control.”

Even if Phil had a very bad past, that was all about to change. Daniell and her boyfriend wasn’t going to abandon him for the second time.

“We have three other dogs, so why not add another to the clan?”, said the admirable woman.

Phil is now on a diet and eventually recovering. He is on medication which will help his fur grow back.

Phil gets along alright with Finley’s other three rescue dogs, although he has formed a very close bond together with his oldest Boston bull , Lily.

“They get pretty accumulated most of the time. you’ll nearly always find them accumulated ,” says Danielle, laughing.

Phil seems to understand how lucky he is, and he consistently shows affection. However, his owner proudly admits that possessing him in her life is, above all, a blessing.
