Dog Lilac was trying to survive with a broken jaw and a damaged leg when a runner in Atlanta, Georgia, noticed her cowering beneath a car. Other dogs and strangers severely attacked the dog. However, when the merciful Samaritan approached, she crawled out to greet them. It was almost as if she “knew she was saved.”

Second Chance Rescue NYC Dogs, based in New York City, transported her to a clinic, where she was given an ambulance. Further veterinary examination established that Lilac, in addition to a severely injured leg and a jaw fracture, had stomach trauma caused by a bullet trapped inside her!

Despite her injuries, Lilac’s tail would wag anytime someone paid her attention.

Lilac amazingly survived after a “touch-and-go” few days.

“There is a way where there is a will.” There’s something special about this little surviving puppy, boys; she’s so cute and beautiful, ”Second Chance Rescue NYC Dogs said.

“She’s the type of dog that requires you to take a deep breath, sit down, and acknowledge your connection to each other’s openness. She has gone through a lifetime of sadness and horror, but she still wants to love, give and connect. ”

Veterinarians were unable to save her leg, but performed miracles to cure the rest. Lila may now have only three legs, but she is recovering.

Lila is currently progressing as a result of all the love and attention she gets!

“She had to fight for a long time to get to where she is now. “She may have lost her leg, but she got a universe-sized family,” her rescuers added. “She is being showered with love from those in the hospital and around the world! We are deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support for Lilac!
