he loyal dog emptied the toilet bowls and cupboards and kept returning to her dad’s side where she was found on the brink of starvation!

Dropsaw lived with her owner in a small hamlet outside Brisbane, Australia. They were left alone and went everywhere together because no one was around anymore.

However, since the man was so isolated, no one noticed when he got a heart attack. Dropsaw was left to fend for herself, and six weeks later she was discovered sleeping close to her owner’s body! 🙁

Within the first two days, the dog drank all of her water and ate all of her food, forcing her to scavenge the home for whatever she might find.

She’d emptied the toilet bowls and ransacked the cupboards, but she kept coming back to her owner’s side! When she was rescued: the unfortunate god had lost nearly a third of her body weight.

When the community learned of her need, they teamed up to help her. Dropsaw was taken over by Red Collar Rescue, a nonprofit organization in Queensland.

Red Collar Rescue agreed to adopt the puppy, but the plan failed when Chris and her husband Bob fell in love with her and decided to adopt her! Dropsaw not only got a second chance at life, but she does so with someone who shares a name with her former owner.
