He was adopted by his family. His family gave him to a friend. The animal shelter dog does not raise his head. He always bends to the side.
Unfortunately, the new family also left the dog in the shelter after two months. The dog was seven years old.
Now he lives in the shelter and is not friendly. He keeps on sitting his head bending down and is scared when somebody comes. He rejected to walk or eat or move his head.
Even though volunteers tried to get him out of this stressful state, he was still depressed. The dog was taken by a rescue assosiation and after some time the dog became so friendly. His life changed abruptly.
Romeo is a true example of dogs suffering trauma when abandoned. He will soon find a forever home thanks to Second Chance Rescue NYC Dogs. We hope he will soon find a forever home as they, too, have feelings and are stressed when left. It is difficult to regain their trust when they are left.
