Lady the Shepherd had nothing and never received any affection or care while chained to the end of a chain 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It was muddy and flooded when it rained, and she was lonely and desperate, becoming more despondent with each passing day, says ilovemydogsomuch.
However, PETA fieldworkers visited the dog on a regular basis throughout the years, attempting to persuade her owner to give her up for a better life. But they were always refusing. Lady was growing increasingly fearful, and she wouldn’t even come out of her doghouse to greet her guests.
PETA would keep pushing the matter, and their efforts would eventually pay off in a significant manner; Lady’s owner decided to hand her up, and it marked a magnificent second shot at life! Wolfie von Fluffer Bottom, or “Wolfie” for short, is now living happily ever after in a loving forever home.
