Blossom was only three-year-old when she was given up by her owners to a shelter in Texas. After the vet examined her, he saw that the little pup was pregnant.

Unfortunately Blossom had many complications during her pregnancy and she needed medical care. At the end she manage to give birth to her puppies but sadly only one of them survived.

This stigmatised Blossom, she went on a deep state of depression. She wouldn’t play with anyone. She would even refuse to eat or drink water for a long time. The shelter’s team were very worried about the heartbroken’s dog health.

Thankfully, all has changed though when Maggie came up with the brilliant idea to introduce Blossom to 6 orphaned pups that desperately needed a mom. The heartbroken mom immediately adopted the pups and commenced taking care of them as if they were her own babies. Her maternal instincts soon kicked in. because of Blossom’s kind heart, all six pups survived and were ready to find loving owners once they were sufficiently old to be adopted!

“I find it very inspiring to ascertain a gorgeous creature like Blossom suffer such a heartbreaking loss and switch her full attention to caring for needy puppies, saving their lives,” Maggie said. “Blossom is teaching us that the simplest thanks to heal is to assist others. “
