Victor Larkhill and his team received a call to save a large dog, which was getting weaker day by day because she had no water or food, and was just staying in a landfill as a refuge.
She seemed to give up when her teeth rotted out of her mouth and her body was covered in injuries and scratches.
So, the rescuers decided to change her life forever.
The dog was given water and food and took her to a veterinarian who said she was suffering from anaplasma and Ehrlichia caused by parasites and ticks. They named her Maya…
She began to heal slowly, as her treatment began.
Her transformation was so great that she was even adopted!
