Miracle Puppy Survives Brutal Stabbing Thanks To Her Heroic Adopter

Smoke, the Pit Bull puppy, has a tragic background, but she hides it well. Her prior human stabbed her at least seven times, causing trachea and carotid artery damage. Smoke would not have lived if it hadn’t been for Brad Chambers’ compassionate heart, writes Molly Weinfurter of iheartdogs.com.

Smoke is now one of the happiest and most affectionate dogs you’ll ever see. She has no evidence of a traumatic history, and she has recovered from all of her injuries. However, none of this would have been possible without the assistance of her new favorite human.

When Smoke was a tiny puppy, she fled beneath Chambers’ vehicle in Virginia. He noticed she was bleeding when he approached her. The unfortunate dog was most likely hiding from the person who had harmed her. She had many stab wounds and didn’t seem to be going to make it.

Fortunately, Chambers, a former cop, knew precisely what to do. He carried a trauma kit in his vehicle, which allowed him to save the puppy’s life. He then transported her to a neighboring animal hospital for more care. Her injuries were so serious that she had to be taken out of state to North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine for surgery.

“She has totally recovered from all operations, and she has plenty of energy, and her loyalty is unwavering,” Chambers added.

Her medical expenses were at least $15,000 after all of her surgeries. Chambers paid for some of it out of pocket, but he was able to raise the remainder through fundraising. At that time, he realized Smoke had to become a member of his family.

Chambers adopted Smoke because he believes he can provide her with the loving home she needs. She had already come out of her shell and demonstrated her genuine nature in his presence. So Chamber is ecstatic to spend the rest of his life with the adorable Pit Bull.

“She’s one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met,” Chambers remarked. “This is a dog that needs to find a home where everyone around her can benefit from her affection, and, yes, I adore dogs.”

Since she’s so loving, Smoke is now training to become a certified therapy dog. She can use her charming and uplifting attitude to help others in need.
