Although some believe that postmen and the dogs they run into on their route have no love in common, these two best friends will strongly disagree. There was a heartwarming moment captured on camera as a mailman in New Zealand – who obviously loves dogs – and a German shepherd, who doesn’t have the best reputation in the neighborhood, shared a moment!

A nine-month-old German Shepherd puppy is misunderstood by some, even by those who know him very well. Michael Collins, the pup’s owner, decided to set up a hidden camera to track the pup’s behavior when around strangers. But he had the biggest surprise.
When the postal worker approaches, the dog is even friendlier than ever. He’s not just sitting still with his tail wagging, but he’s petting his secret pal. Watching the sweet interaction, you can imagine the owner’s reaction. And guess what? It wasn’t by accident, it was their daily routine.
“Everyday whether or not we have mail, this mailman always stops to see my dog who is about 9 months old,” the owner wrote on Facebook. “He always gets over looked as a dangerous or unapproachable dog, maybe cause he’s big, I am not sure. He doesn’t bark at them or growl (maybe the odd couple times he barks at people but which dog doesn’t.) But this guy here always makes an effort to get off his bike to give him a hug and a pat!”
