When Animal Aid was called in to help an injured stray, they had no idea the extent of her injuries, says ilovemydogsomuch.
Aside from canines’ excellent pain tolerance, this dog seemed so content with the attention she was getting that her injuries appeared to be minor. That was not the case at all.
As the volunteer leaned down to pat the adorable puppy, whom they eventually named Rani, he recognized that the dog was running out of time. As he lifted her leg to inspect her, she yelled in anguish. There was a big hole in the wound. It’s mind-boggling how she’s managed to stay alive this long!
Rani’s wound was so large that you could see inside, all the way to her internal organs. Rani had no time to spare. They covered her in a blanket and took her to the Animal Aid sanctuary for immediate medical treatment.
Rani has a shattered pelvis and a wounded bladder, according to the vet. She also had the most massive, gaping wound the vet had ever seen on a live creature. Rani’s survival is nothing short of a miracle.
They couldn’t wait any longer. Rani required immediate surgery. Doctors and volunteers feared she wouldn’t make it, especially given the risk of infection. However, Rani did!
Medical science is not without flaws. However, it has gone a long way! Animals like Rani, on the other hand, are real survivors. She yearned to be alive. She battled valiantly, and look at the result! Now this is Rani!
The dog that hid her misery for a few pats on the head is now at the Animal Aid refuge, living her best life. In such a disadvantaged region, it’s difficult to locate adopters, but what’s great about Animal Aid is that every stray they bring in gets to stay there permanently. They aren’t in need of a no-kill shelter. They are a safe sanctuary.
