In order to cope with his grief, Roman shared his story online after his dog died after 11 years of being together! According to Roman, Toby was very sweet and friendly, even when he was rough with people, he would still be very sweet to them.
The owner also mentioned that his loyal dog would wait for him by the window when he went to work, where he spent 8-10 hours a day. As he waited at the door for Roman, Toby knew exactly what time Roman would arrive home.
Toby, already suffering from cardiomyopathy, a torn ligament, and three serious surgeries, developed stage four kidney failure and cancer in October 2018! He was told by the vet that he wouldn’t live much longer, but he lived until February 2019! Taking Toby to the vet to put him down was one of Roman’s most difficult decisions in his life.
