According to ilovemydogsomuch.com, Viktor Larkhill and his team of rescuers were called for assistance with a dog in critical health.
They found out that his mother was with him, but that she had been left behind. They discovered her cuddled up on an old couch in a neighboring abandoned house as they started looking for her.

She was so ill that she didn’t even react when rescuers reached her. Due to terrible skin disorders that left her sticky and bleeding, her fur was entirely gone.
She was on the verge of passing out and had already given up. She lay down to die knowing her kid was protected. But, happily, this was the start of a new chapter in her life.
Her and her kid were taken to the hospital and given the names Helen and Oscar by the rescuers.
Helen and Oscar appeared to be completely different dogs after months of special care and treatment. Their fur started to regrow, and their bleeding wounds began to heal.
Helen was eventually adopted by a wonderful family, and she is spoilt rotten. Oscar has also been adopted since then.
