It’s so hard to lose a pet. God bless him.. R.I.P…🌈🙏🏽
The one connection that is sure to hurt our hearts is with our dogs.
Only other dog parents will completely comprehend this. We understand the pain that comes with bringing a loving canine into our life. But it’s all worth it for the time we get to spend with them, however brief.
Ken Pendagraft, 80, said his 14-year-old dog provided him with a purpose to get out every day and exercise him, as well as companionship and unconditional affection.
When Ken was discovered sad with a sick dog, neighbors flocked to his aid.
Ken and his 16-year-old dog Zack resided in a mobile home development in Hemet, California. He was cordial, according to his neighbors, although he stayed to himself most of the time.
That is, until his dog became [very ill], and Ken didn’t have the [mo.ney] to hurry him to the [v.et]. “Ken was still in tears.”
Elaine Seamans, the founder of the At-Choo Foundation, a rescue group that assists dogs in need of medical attention, arrived to assist!
Elaine did everything she could for Zack, who had gla.uco.ma, [severe art.hritis], and a 6/6 [heart mu.rmur], making surgery difficult.
Unfortunately, Zack did not make it.
But, alas, the sadness didn’t end there; he was also [experi.encing an emptiness of loneliness].
Ken had a heart attack not long after he found his beloved Zack. Anyone who cares about their pet knows how [stressful] it is when they die.
What transpired after that demonstrates just how intertwined we are with our animals and how dependent we are on them.
Sincere condolences to everyone involved. Pets are family, and we are sometimes so ‘overwhelmed’ by ‘grief’ that our hearts di.es.
When you have to say goodbye to your beloved furbaby, it’s a very [traumatic] time. In heaven, they’ll be together once again!
God bless this kind man and his adoring pet. I hope they are reunited soon. ❤️🐶 May their souls rest in peace together.
