West Palm Beach Fire Rescue was not expecting to find a dog on the scene of a fire. According to tpn, someone tied the poor dog, who was burned all over, to a tree.
Firefighter Marcos Orozca freed the dog and rushed it to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue. JPESC, Jupiter Pet Emergency & Specialty Center, specializes in burns, received the dog from Peggy Adams Animal Rescue.
Smokey, a 2-year-old dog who was named after a famous cartoon character, would require bandages, medicated baths, blood transfusions, and many other treatments. A good relationship was formed between Dr. Latimer, the main vet for the dog’s treatments.
After he became healthy, Captain Gregg Gordon fostered him until he found a permanent home. It was the cutest moment when he saw Dr. Latimer, who saved his life. His happiness was overwhelming.
