Carillo and his companion rushed to free the dog. He seemed to be fine, said Carrillo. He was quite considerate and enjoyed the interest. He most likely only stayed there for a day or two. The plumbers loaded the dog into their car and drove him to a neighboring no-kill shelter called Peewee’s Pet Fostering.

The person who so callously abandoned the puppy to perish was never found, but at least the plumbers gave the dog a second chance at life. Right now, all he requires is a caring permanent home.
