According to ilovemydogsomuch, Hope For Paws got a text message on their emergency line regarding a stray dog that had taken refuge close to a train line.
One of the staff members saw the little dog and thought Hope For Paws would be able to help. He was still being fed and taken care of by workers.
Although he liked being among the workers, he was still uneasy and would not let the rescuers get too near to him. He had been fed so well by the employees that they tried to bribe him with food, but he showed little interest.
Once they got close enough, the rescuers were able to catch the dog with a net. The poor dog frantically moved in an effort to escape the net, but he eventually realized he was being saved.
He was given the name Scooter, and they assured him that he would never again have to spend the night outside.
He was brought back to the clinic and given a much-needed wash.
After that, Scooter was handed to L.A. Animal Rescue to be fostered so that they could rehabilitate him and find him a loving permanent home.
He was able to sleep with a warm blanket and have a decent night’s rest for the first time in his life.
Several weeks later, Scooter discovered his perfect home! Rudy now has a doggy sister named Dottie with whom he adores playing after being given a new name by his new family.
