Despite receiving flood warnings, residents of Brazoria, Texas, abandoned several family dogs in the pandemonium.
However, the father and younger brother of Redittor DUSTYHAM seized a chance to save them. The two animal enthusiasts, who had a boat between them, freed about 40 imprisoned dogs.

This was predicted a week or two in advance, according to DUSTYHAM, who added that “certain situations I can grasp.” Please use that one. Although neither of us can, it’s also conceivable that the owners were away and unable to retrieve their dogs.

Whatever the cause, someone intervened to save the poor puppies. According to DUSTYHAM, they all went to a temporary shelter set up by the local humane society. Parts of central and southeast Texas were affected by destructive flash flooding prior to Memorial Day weekend in 2016. Since March 2015, a number of floods have affected Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Missouri, with this being the most recent of more than a dozen such incidents.
