Meet Ariel! This adorable girl was abandoned in the streets, most likely because she couldn’t be sold, and she was left to die.

Ariel was born with flipper feet, which, while probably the reason she was dwarfed, we believe make her even more endearing. This little lady is a warrior, just like so many amazing people who have been saved before her. She was discovered by Trenton Animals Rock volunteers wandering the street, and the instant she squirmed up to them, she won their hearts. They examined her for the first time and discovered that she had focamelia, a birth abnormality that is most frequently caused when the mother consumes a poison during a critical period of development. She was too little to undergo several diagnostic procedures, although her heart and lungs were healthy.

Ariel was developing day by day and learning how to behave like other dogs; she even gained friends in the shelter and was beloved by all the celebrities.

She was chosen to be fostered by a shelter volunteer who liked her. He owned a lot of other dogs. Ariel formed great bonds with the other dogs and felt quite at ease around him.
