Since his wife had informed him that two-year-old Hickory was on the Animal Care Centers of New York City (ACC) death list, Mario Rodrigez, a Georgia truck driver with a strong bond with pit bulls, did not hesitate to shoot him a second time.

“The breakfast was a part of everyone’s upbringing in their families, and it was a part of how we brought up our children. They are fervent followers. I could see from Hickory’s portrait that all he want was to be loved.

Although Mario was 2800 kilometers away from the dog, he had no trouble getting there.

I told my wife that I was on a mission to save this puppy, saying, ” I must go get him.

Mario decided to talk to his employer, and he helped him by organizing a trip to New York so that he could see Hickory. He made a call to the shelter before embarking on his journey to let them know he was approaching.

“By the third day, they knew my name since I was crossing across traffic and calling the shelter every day. They said, “He’s still here, Mario, he’s still here.”

After six days, he finally had the opportunity to meet his new girlfriend.

2,800 miles were driven in order to save a dog.
John stated:

“After parking my car, I screamed outside. Hickory about fell off the settee when she spoke to me. That’s all, sir, I said. We were returning home. He began to artificially wag his tail. He immediately sprang on me and began licking my face.

The bond that formed between the two was truly miraculous; their meeting was scheduled.

He seemed to be waiting for me, I reasoned. It was very odd. We launched it immediately. I’ve never had a dog get so close to me in my whole life.
After Mario had finished the adaptation work, they immediately headed back home, with the dog already getting into the car.
