Ellie, a three-year-old dog, loves her father more than anything and would do anything to be with him. But when her father was would have to leave his home, he made a choice that crushed his heart by giving her up to the shelter run by Canine Haven Rescue Inc.

She believed she would never see her father again, according to the dog! However, life had a different viewpoint. After his wife passed away, the owner was compelled to leave the state and was therefore obliged to give up his dog. He relocated with his daughter, who insisted that they leave the dog behind. To make sure she was in great hands, he brought her to the shelter.

She was taken in by a foster family and stayed there for 18 months without any adoption requests! The man kept in touch with Ellie and even sent her a clothing and some toys. Cara Seiler of Canine Haven Rescue Inc. claims that it was clear from the former owner’s voice that he was not happy.
