One day Sheila spotted a little Pitbull darting through traffic towards an abandoned home, she noticed that the poor dog had a deep gash around her throat.
The compassionate woman called Stray Rescue of St. Louis right away, and they dispatched rescuers to pick up the injured dog. One of the rescuers, Dona, tried to approach the fearful dog in the gentlest manner possible, but the dog found it difficult to develop confidence in her.
After some moderate persuasion, the white and brown Pit Bull decided to sit near a car and try her luck. Donna looked up at her with a fearful expression in her sad, expressive eyes, as if she didn’t trust her. She made a lucky decision by taking a chance.
Manika (her new name) calmed down and rested her head on the car’s armrest as soon as she understood she was in a secure location. She finally has the knowledge that she may sleep peacefully.
Rescuers find that a terrible pinch collar left significant wounds that were too severe to be stitched up at the emergency clinic. But it’s wonderful to witness how Minka’s disposition has altered just one day later!
