Devin Booker Brings His Luxurious Shiny Gold 1959 Chevrolet Impala To The Nba 2K23 Premiere


NBA star Devin Booker attended the release of the NBA 2K23, for which he is the cover star. He didn’t go alone, as he had the best ride with him – his favorite car, the “gothic gold” 1959 Chevrolet Impala.

This year, Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker was chosen to become the cover of the NBA 2K23 game, which is officially released on September 9. The three-time All-Star player attended the premiere of the game in Los Angeles, California, and he had Kendall Jenner and his favorite car with him, which was also put on display.

If you didn’t know by now, Devin Booker is an avid car fan and has a passion for vintage cars. His garage doesn’t feature many cars, but he’s getting there. He does, however, own two Buicks and several Impalas, with models ranging from the ‘50s to the ‘90s. Booker also plans to add more in due course.

But out of all of them, his favorite is the 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible. He already shared he has a soft spot for Chevrolet and the Impala is the cherry on top. During an interview with Architectural Digest, he agreed it’s difficult to pinpoint a favorite, “it’s like picking your favorite child, you don’t do that.” But he did admit he likes the ’59 best.

The vintage is called “Pretty Penny,” and has a special place in his heart. “This is what I drove to the game, one of the finals,” he says, before introducing it as a “’59 Impala Ragtop, all original,” exactly how it came out of the factory more than 60 years ago. The vehicle seems to be painted in “gothic gold” and is in impeccable condition.

And it looked great with him at the prestigious event. Mister Cartoon, a famous tattoo and graffiti artist, posted the vehicle on his Instagram account, showing it parked outside the event. He wrote: “On display this classy 1959 Impala owned by my Bro @dbook.” He added that “in celebration of being the cover athlete for @nba2k #2k23 we also contributed artwork to the game.” So far, he didn’t get to put his talent to work on this vintage, but his custom muralled car collection appeared in several art shows all over the world. And Devin’s Impala looks perfect just the way it is.
