1962 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe with a 572-cubic inch engine and a 4-speed transmission

This 1962 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe was refurbished and modified under previous ownership with a repaint in metallic red and the installation of a 572ci V8 crate engine. The car is equipped with staggered-diameter alloy wheels, Air Ride Technologies air springs, an AADCO front sway bay, a panhard bar, front disc brakes, a retro-look digital stereo, a Hurst shifter, an Ididit tilt steering column, Dakota Digital instrumentation, MSD electronic ignition, a BeCool aluminum radiator, tubular exhaust headers, an Optima battery, black vinyl upholstery, and a March Performance serpentine drive kit. The car was acquired by the seller in September 2022. This modified Impala is now offered with refurbishment records and Maine registration in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in its current shade of metallic red under previous ownership following the replacement of the quarter and rocker panels, floor pans, and trunk floor. Exterior details include an engine-turned taillight panel and side moldings, chrome bumpers, quad headlamps, SS badging, and dual antennas.

Staggered-diameter alloy wheels measure 18″ up front and 20″ out back and are mounted with 215/40 and 245/35 Toyo Proxes tires, respectively. The car is equipped with Air Ride Technologies air springs, an ADDCO 1″ front sway bar, and a panhard bar. The seller recommends replacing the steering column shaft dust boot.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl and joined by color-coordinated door panels and carpets along with a body-color dashboard. Equipment includes a retro-look digital stereo, a trunk-mounted CD changer, a Hurst shifter, and Impala-branded carpeted floor mats.

The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted on an Ididit tilt column and fronts Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of a speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 5k miles, which is said to represent the mileage accumulated since completion of the build. Approximately 1,500 miles were added under current ownership, though total mileage is unknown.

The GM ZZ572 V8 crate engine was installed in 2007 and factory-rated output was 621 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. Equipment includes MSD electronic ignition, a BeCool aluminum radiator, dual electric cooling fans, an Optima battery, tubular exhaust headers, and a March Performance billet aluminum serpentine drive kit.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster-style mufflers.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is being sold on its Maine registration.
