A Harrowing Ordeal
The dedicated team at Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Northeast (SNARR) had witnessed countless heart-wrenching cases over their 13 years of operation. But nothing could have prepared them for the horrific plight of two innocent puppies found abandoned in a most unimaginable way.
“[These] two innocent puppies have endured unimaginable cruelty,” SNARR wrote on Facebook. The young Labrador retriever mixes had been callously thrown from a moving vehicle into a rushing stream, a chilling act of cruelty that defied comprehension.
Miraculously, a compassionate stranger witnessed the horrifying incident and sprang into action. The puppies, terrified and struggling to survive, were rescued from the treacherous waters and rushed to SNARR.
A Fight for Survival
The puppies arrived at the shelter in a state of shock and exhaustion. Their tiny bodies bore the scars of their ordeal, with waterlogged lungs and painful road rash. Yet, despite their fragile condition, their will to live was evident.
SNARR’s medical team worked tirelessly to stabilize the puppies, administering the necessary treatments to address their physical ailments. But their care extended beyond the physical; it encompassed the emotional trauma the puppies had endured.
