Chief, a handsome one-year-old with a playful spirit, finds himself back at the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in Terryville, Connecticut. Though his journey has been marked by change, his unwavering loyalty and zest for life remain steadfast.
Chief’s story began on the streets, where a kind-hearted soul found him malnourished and neglected. This good Samaritan, filled with compassion, took him in and nursed him back to health. Both hoped to share a life filled with love and companionship.
A Change of Plans
Unforeseen circumstances, however, forced a difficult decision. While Chief’s original rescuer brought him back to health with the best intentions, other pets in the household struggled to adjust to a new sibling. With a heavy heart, the decision was made to find Chief a loving home that could accommodate his playful personality.

Chief, resilient and adaptable, is slowly adjusting to life at the shelter. Despite his initial confusion, the dedicated ARF staff are working tirelessly to provide him with the love and training he needs. He is a quick learner, eager to master basic commands and leash manners.
