Every pet owner makes sure that their pet has the most comfortable life possible. She surrounded him not only with love but also made him feel safe. We even give our furry friend his own bed. Unfortunately, not all caregivers understand their child the same way.

Outrageous conditions

An animal rescue center received a report from a concerned man. He heard strange, tearful moans coming from his neighbor’s basement. Over time, it became clear to him that he heard a dog barking.

Viktor Larkhill quickly set out with the rescue team to the designated location. However, they were not prepared for what they saw when they entered the basement. A small abandoned dog locked in a cage. He cowered in fear and pain. It simply broke the hearts of the rescuers.

It turned out that he had been imprisoned in this basement for many years. The time has come for it to finally see the light of day.

The dog lives in constant fear

Rescuers did not hesitate to help him. They took the scared dog to the center, where they gave it their full attention. The poor guy had open wounds, was dirty and very hungry. There was great sadness in his eyes but also gratitude. It was a heartbreaking scene. Calming a dog is not an easy task. Luckily, with proper care, it started wagging its tail after a few days. However, he had to undergo serious surgery on his foot and it was successful.

He finally found joy in life again

The rescuers who pulled the little dog out of the dark basement decided to temporarily take care of the poor dog. They named him Toby. After 6 weeks, the dog’s hair started to grow back and after 14 weeks Toby looked like a healthy dog. Its fur is soft to the touch. And most importantly, he was no longer afraid at all. He has rediscovered the joy of life and is waiting for a new home.

He found a family

After his wound healed, Toby was ready to be adopted. A family immediately found a family that loved the little dog and provided it with a safe home. Now he can sunbathe as much as he wants and play with his stepbrother. This is the life he always deserved. Toby – be happy forever!
