A Dog Hit By A Car Was Lying On The Road. He Begged For Help For Several Hours

The Animal Emergency Service received a report that an injured dog was lying in a ditch by the road in the Zaluski commune after being hit by a car. The poor thing couldn’t move and begged for help for several hours. It was difficult to get help from the services, so members of the Animal Emergency Service came from Warsaw to help.

The hit dog begged for help for several hours

The dog from the accident was lying in a ditch by the road in the Zaluski commune. This is the Plońsk district, where you often cannot count on help from the services. This time it was similar. The tiny dog had been lying there for several hours and was asking for help. The people who finally stopped bounced off the wall of official pathology. The police from Plońsk said that the Zaluski commune decides about helping the dog. The shelter with which the commune has a contract was closed, the commune’s veterinarian did not answer the phone, and the people on duty at 112 also threw up their hands. So we set off from Warsaw to save the terrified animal. – informs the Animal Emergency Service on its Facebook.

Battered by life

The Animal Emergency Service took the dog under its care and named it Dobby. The pet was taken to a veterinary clinic. His age was estimated at approximately 2 years old. Unfortunately, Dobby experienced a lot of evil in his life, which can be seen from the numerous wounds and scars on his body. It turned out that he suffered from babesiosis. He also has an injury to his hind leg, which causes him to limp severely.

Fortunately, Dobby recovered quite quickly. His blood test results were good and he no longer had to take medication for babesiosis, so he could start looking for a new home at any time.

The dog is the size of a dachshund, has short, crooked legs and weighs only 9 kg. He is friendly and communicative. He can’t walk on a leash yet and may have trouble relieving himself outside. He really needs a safe haven, his own home and a person who will take care of him and allow him to trust again. For now, the baby is timid and very submissive. He doesn’t react to other dogs, he growls at cats. He is undergoing an orthopedic consultation, so we are looking for a temporary home for him, preferably in Warsaw or the surrounding area. – writes the Animal Emergency Service.

Happy ending

Even though Dobby has experienced a lot of harm and suffering in his life, his story has a happy ending. The Animal Emergency Service announced on its Facebook that the dog had been adopted! Just look how happy he is now!
